SHIPPING
The following criteria applies to shipping policies:
- SHIPPING will be made in accordance with any customers specifications and obey the following guidelines:
- Shipment weighing less than 200 lbs will be made by ups when
Practical
- Shipments in excess of 200 lbs will be made using a customer
Direct trucker
- All shipments will be made on a freight collect basis
- All shipments are sent F.O.B in Woodside, NY
- BILLS OF LADING will contain the following information:
- Customers name and complete address
- Date of shipment
- Total number of cartons shipped
- Customer item code and corresponding Acme code
- Total weight of shipment
- Total number of pallets shipped
- Any special delivery instructions
- PACKING LISTS will contain the same information as the bill of lading, but will also contain the following information in the detail section:
- Total number of pieces shipped
- Customer component number
- Acme part number and material
- Number of cartons and packing in each carton
- Customer purchase order number
- Any required
- TRUCKERS will acknowledge receipt of the shipment by signing the following:
- Number of cartons and pallets
- Date of pickup
- Packing slip (when requested)
- The shipping manager will lead or monitor the loading of all shipments. In addition , the QA manager may be present.
